Lexie Is Donating Her Hair To The Princess Trust.

Before Christmas Lexie asked if she could donate her hair to sick children that don’t have any hair. This came as a shock to me as we have never had a conversation about poorly children losing hair and the big Cancer word.

She couldn’t remember where she had got the idea from and the only thing I can think of is she has stumbled along something while watching YouTube.

So with Lent in full swing, when I asked her if she wanted to give up something for 40 days the obvious answer was sweets. ( Which then got changed to Kinder Hippos in the end.) Then the suggestion of cutting her hair again arose, and it’s something she really wants to do.

We had quite a Lengthly chat and we have decided in July will be the date she has it cut. The princess trust needs 7” and over as a donation. So definitely with 5 months growing time she will have over that.

Along with chopping her hair, she wants to raise £200 . The money raised will be used to provide a child with a real hair wig, it costs on average between £350 to £500 to provide a child with a wig. This is Lexie’s Just giving page, I’m hoping she can hit her target by July.

Little Princess Trust provides real-hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other illnesses. Please visit them at to find out how we have given away over 5,000 free wigs.
