The Only Way Is Up?? ....

So some of you may of noticed the blog taking a total nose dive, I honestly don't know where to start and I'm not sure if this post will be published at all, but I needed to write it down and get it all out.

The thing is I'm not good, I'm really struggling I have been for a while. I honestly feel like I've hit rock bottom. These two years have felt like Groundhog Day and I've been re-living the same day over and over. I get up feed and dress the kids, come home do the housework, pick the kids up, feed and bath, dress, stories, read. Tidy up again. I got to the point where I was dropping the kids off at school then going back to bed until it was time to pick them up again. I became irritated and snappy and felt there was no ME left at all. I've been suffering from anxiety and panic attacks when I'm on my own or have to go out by myself, which are really worrying.

The previous writing was written six months ago and I'm glad to report that I'm feeling so much better my family urged me to seek help and I'm now on a course of tablets that are making me feel a lot better. I also started working again, only 20 hours a week but i feel a part of me is coming back and I've also since lost 19lbs in weight. Which was something that I was stuck with as well.

I'm really trying hard to be regular poster again now and get back up to speed with the blog side of things, I hope you all stick around.

Strada Kids Menu At The Mailbox

In half term we got invited to Strada at the Mailbox in Birmingham, to test out the new menu and for the kids to make pizzas with the Strada chef and children designing and making their own.

The restaurant group has listened to their customers and understands how important it is for parents to provide a quality, delicious and affordable meal for the whole family. Strada’s Head Chef, a parent himself, set out to greatly improve the new kids menu; now serving up dishes like baked fresh market fish, made-from-scratch veggie risotto and higher welfare British steak. Also including starters such as veggie sticks with tomato sauce and the side option of green salad with every kids’ main, plus juice or milk to drink.

The day started off with the kids making there own pizzas, a selection of toppings was available for them to use to design. Lexie and Raiden both had loads of fun and both choose totally different toppings.

Lexie's Pizza - She went for a bit of a meat feast with ham, pepperoni and one random carrot.

Raiden's Pizza - Raiden was slightly more creative with his full of colour, ham, mushrooms, cucumber, carrot, pepperoni and cherry tomatoes.

Our starters was delicious and the kids has the vegetable sticks with a homemade tomato sauce and I had the bruschetta.

I felt a bit left out so I ordered the Margarita pizza it was delicious, full of flavour and the portion size was huge.

The kids both decided on the Chargrilled 6oz British steak with fries.

We had a fab time, hanks for the invite Strada.

Galaxy Quick Reads

I've been really slacking reading lately, I absolutely love to read and really need to make time for it again. I've set myself a target of two books a month, hoping it will give me a kickstart back to reading again.

I was thrilled when Galaxy Quick Reads got in touch with their new , short books that can be purchased for just £1 each. They are written by renowned authors, and aim to help adults rediscover the pleasure of reading. The six 2016 Galaxy Quick Reads titles are launching at the beginning in February and are out now to buy. These are great titles and can be popped in to a handbag and read on bus journeys and I've been enjoying reading on my break at work.

Too Good to be True by Ann Cleeves

When young teacher Anna Blackwell is found dead in her home, the police think her death was suicide or a tragic accident. After all, Stonebridge is a quiet country village in the Scottish Borders, where murders just don't happen.

But Detective Inspector Jimmy Perez soon arrives from far-away Shetland and is asked to look into the case by his ex-wife, Sarah. The local gossips are saying that her new husband, Tom, was having an affair with Anna. Could Tom have been involved with her death? Sarah refuses to believe it - but needs proof.

Anna had been a teacher. She must have loved kids. Would she kill herself knowing there was nobody to look after her daughter? She'd seemed happier than ever before she died. And to Perez, this suggests not suicide, but murder . . .

A Baby at the Beach Cafe by Lucy Diamond

Evie loves running her beach cafe in Cornwall but with a baby on the way, she's been told to put her feet up. Let someone else take over? Not likely.
Helen's come to Cornwall to escape the stress of city living. She hopes a seaside life will be the answer to all her dreams. When she sees a job advertised at the cafe it sounds perfect.
But the two women clash and sparks fly. . . and then events take a dramatic turn. Can the pair of them put aside their differences in a crisis?

My Top Three Favourite TV Shows

I'm a sucker for a good TV show, I'm have a bit more of a wider variety with them than my films. Normally I watch only Horror films with a few Thrillers and Comedies every now and again.

Panasonic  has launched their next generation 4K Ultra HD TV

Product features

  • 4k Ultra HD picture is 4 times the resolution of HD
  • 200 Hz processing rate
  • Smart: BBC iPlayer & YouTube
  • Tuner: Freeview HD
  • Connectivity: HDMI 2.0 x 3

First of all I'm going to start with Supernatural, I've watched it from the start and it will remain my favourite show ever. I loved the first couple of seasons, then it slightly went a bit up and down for a while with the whole Apocalypse is seemed to drag a bit though it. The first seasons focused more on the supernatural side with old urban myths. Now it focus more on the two main characters Sam & Dean.

Breaking Bad - The whole concept of this is slightly mental isn't it a chemistry teacher diagnosed with terminal lung cancer teams up with his former student to cook and sell crystal meth. I really didn't think I would enjoy this show as much as I did.

American Horror Story - AHS is a series of anthology horror series. All the series link up in some sort of way. It started with Murder house. The second season AsylumThe third season was Coven. Fourth season was freak show then the last season was Hotel. I love how all the characters have mainly remained the same just played different characters in all the seasons. The last season Hotel got quite a lot of stick, but I loved Lady Gaga playing the Countess.

Check out the new Panasonic Viera here.

Rosewood Pet Small Pet Naturals Range

Some of you that follow my Instagram, you would of seen Kristoff our white haired hamster. Kristoff was such a great hamster, he had such character and he loved to be fussed. He had become part of the family the nearly two years we had him.

Rosewood pets sent some lovely of their natural range treats , but  Krisoff started to decline and didn't get a chance to try them out. He stopped eating and moving and sadly passed a few days later. We was all a little heartbroken after he passed away and decided to get another furry addition a few weeks after.

We decided to get a little dwarf hamster and we named him Coco. He was only 8 weeks old and still a little baby. He is still getting used to us, and over the weeks we have included some of the naturals treats a few at a time.

The small Carrot Cottage is something that we put in his cage straight away. The base is made from thick, edible card coated in side and out with meadow hay. The top is coated in dry carrot. So it can be a hide and seek den or a bed. Coco loves to fill it up with ripped newspaper.

Rosewood Naturals Rodent Playground is a great assortment to keep teeth healthy. The playground is great for a treat and to gnaw, it includes treat cookies and edible willow ball. The product is 100% natural ingredients. Keeps pets entertained and stimulated.

Critter Cocktail. In the wild Hamster, Rats, Gerbils and Mice will hunt for insects and other protein rich foods which are an important part of their diet. Included in the lack is dried and nutritious shrimps, mealworms and silkworms. Coco seems to enjoy them and it's not something I would of thought about giving a small pet before.

Shrimp Cookies are baked wholemeal cookies, loaded with seeds, nuts & shrimps.

Small Treat n Gnaw Logs.
Two edible peanut flavoured small wooden logs, packed with seeds, peanut and apple. Perfect to keeping small animals entertained and busy. They have  a handy clip to attach the logs from he cage.
