I've put a bit of weight on again, so I've been hiding in a lot of black clothes, jeans or hoodies lately. Jacques Vert offered me a couple of items from Colebrooke by Windsmoor Which is a huge new brand launch for Jacques Vert. A brand SS15 Windsmoor collection has just been released and the collection is stunning! Full of classic bold elegant styles.
Jacques Vert is defined by head to toe glamour. With more contemporary designs and styles coming through the collections, Jacques Vert is the go to shopping destination for the mature woman who wants to continue looking stylish whilst looking and feeling sophisticated and elegant.
First I received was the Block Lily Jersey Tunic. I love long tops and tunics that cover the tum and bum. They make me feel more relaxed when I'm out and about with them on. I loved the stunning flowered lily print on this in white and black with a splash of green in. It's textured and it's lovely once on and it goes great with a pair off leggings or black trousers. Perfect to dress up or down for daytime and evening.
The next item was the printed JerseyJacket. I don't really own anything like this at the moment and I normally like to have my arms covered. So this was great to add in to my wardrobe. The floral print is really uplifting and colours, black, ivory and a hint of coral works well. It's an open front and really long so it's great as a cover up. A lovely statement piece which will go with so many pieces.
RRP - £69.00
Check out some other items that caught my eye. I love the striking prints and designs.
Trendy Tot Thursday is back, where you can showcase your trendy tots's outfits. Pick an outfit from in the week, snap some pictures and post!
Hello it's Trendy Tot Thursday again. I didn't realise how much of Lexie's clothes was from H&M until I started doing these posts. Now if any of the kids need anything I always seem to go to H&M and they have some really amazing sales too.
The dress is from H&M and I love the wine colour of this. The spotty patten really suits her too. I'm sure it was around £4 when I brought this and another pattern in the sale.
My little pony Rainbow dash tights was from eBay and she loves these tights. They was £3.80 with postage.
Originally I was going to get Raiden the NerdBlockJr, until I thought about my disappointments with subscription boxes. So I decided to make my own and went slightly overboard. I'm really lucky as I'm a few groups that sell bits and bobs from different boxes, so the box itself hasn't cost me as much as I first thought, plus it's packed full with lots of geek goodies.
Raiden has three Funko pops at the moment so I knew the additions in the box would be a massive hit and he asked for a shelf so these will go perfect on there. He is very much into Nintendo, DC and Marvel so I've tried to stay on that wavelength. I really hope he enjoys opening the box tomorrow and seeing what's inside.
I wanted my title to say it all, because it's the total truth. Your mom nurtured you and gave you life. She will only be a number 1. I wanted to reflect my relationship with my mom, as it's got me thinking of what a good mom entails after becoming one myself.
When I was younger I always remember being close to my mom, her name was the only I called when I had fallen over and the one who used to soothe me if I had a bad dream. I'm not sure when our relationship totally changed. I just stopped calling her name and the bad dreams stopped. As I teen I wasn't close to my mom at all, I think it's just the teenage thing, where I suppose your parents don't know what to do anymore do they hug you, do you still want to go on family trips. I know as a teen i wanted to be on my own a lot and i hated the whole family trips out.
Thinking about it I personally don't think I was an awful teenager but it's definitely where me and my moms relationship changed. When my parents split when I was 16, it hit me so hard that I blamed my mom and hated her for ages for it, we had been rocky for a while but this just topped it over. I moved out and back a few times, and my mom was always wiling to have me back, took me back in and always has been there for me. I didn't realize what being a mum meant, till I became one myself and the unconditional love that is there from the moment you see you're baby.
My mom was there for me during my first birth, she made sure I drank, wiped my head and most importantly told me how proud she was of me. From that moment and seeing her first grandchild being born we changed. We had grown closer and I don't think there is a day that goes by when I don't think what I would do without my mom. She is my rock, she is the one i call when i'm upset or ill.She knows when i,m down, and will help me pick myself up. My Mum is one in a million!

I've entered a lot of giveaways in the past and they have asked the question if you could pick one thing to take to a dessert island what would it be. Which got me thinking and inspired me for this post. At first I thought it would be super easy to pick a few things but it seems I have quite a few luxuries more than I first thought. Obviously the kids the other half would already be there, I just wanted to share some luxuries I currently would take.
Number 1 - My iPad ( Obviously the dessert island would have wi-fi right? ) I do a lot on my iPad, emails, diary, photos, blog work, tweet, Instagram, enter competitions, watch movies & speak to friends. It's like my mini life saver and it's something that helps me though my day.
Number 2 - Hand cream - I do have a slight obsession with hand cream and I have one in my bag always. I'm forever putting it on though out the day and I put it on in every season, even in summer it still in my bag.
Number 3 - Montagne Jeunesse- I've used the face masks since I was a teenager and they are something I use 2/3 times a week. I'm a massive fan of their peel off and mud masks. They recently sent me some lovely new things to try out.
Red Earth Clay Spa
Aloe Vera Face Spa
Dead Sea Mud Spa
I also got to try the Foot Buffer, which I've never tried before. The foot buffer has a lovely refreshing peppermint smell, which gives you that tinging feeling when you first apply. The added ground pumice leaves your street feel soft and smooth. Whist giving your feet some pamper time you are also removing the flaky dead skin.
The tired leg gel was also amazing, about two weeks ago I actually went out clubbing for the first time in years. Which gave my legs the cramping tight feeling the day after from all the dancing ( I'm so out of practice). I used the gel and was really surprised, the scent smelt like a cherry mint. Which I actually really liked. The gel itself absorbs really quick and doesn't feel greasy at all.
Number 4 - Ok this was supposed to be a top three but I had to squeeze this one in as I don't think I could possibly survive without chocolate. We would most likely have to do some Bear Grills style hunting for normal food but least I have chocolate right?

For me creating memories is the most important thing to do as a family. Fun, laughter & watching my children grow in to young people has been the highlight of being a mom. When we are out and about I love to take photos and it's important that the pictures are a decent quality. Also something small and compact that you can fit in to a handbag to take around.

The Camera itself is a 12.1 Megapixel, which is a pretty good. It has a 12x optical zoom Leica lens with 4x Digital Zoom lossless. Which is great if we are at the park and I want a quick snapshot of the kids a bit further out of shot.
I love photos of the children. Looking back and watching them grow is amazing. The difference in a few months can be huge. One thing I like is a good sturdy canvas, I have quite a few around our home and I enjoy looking at them everyday. They can bring a smile out on those dreary days.
Lexie had a stunning Frozen themed photoshoot last year and the pictures are gorgeous I've been planning to get one on canvas, but hadn't gotten around to it. So when Wall Createasked us to review a 40cm x 30cm canvas, my only trouble was picking a photo out the 11 i had.
Wall Create has been printing on canvas since 2001 and is regarded as one of the most popular canvas printing companies in the UK.
The canvas came very quick. I was a bit surprised in came in a huge Jiffy bag, but it was wrapped up very tight and safe in lots of bubble wrap. The canvas itself is thin, which I thought was a bit better than a big framed one as its not as easy to catch and knock off the wall.
On the back there are the fittings to attach to the frame and with a piece of string to hang the frame up.
I liked the full picture and how the pictured fitted on to the canvas, instead of half of the picture being wrapped around. The stapling was neat and tidy at the back. The picture itself was very bright and clear and beautiful. I think it's a great new addition to the wall.
Wall Create have offered one of my readers a 40cm x 30cm canvas with a picture of their choice for a giveaway. Please see below how to win.
