I've totally lost myself with reading at the moment. It's not I don't have the time, I just need to use my time more wisely to fit it in. When I get stuck into a book I can read one in a day and it's something I've loved since I was a teenager. So I was very excited when Galaxy got in touch with me about the bite sized books written by best selling authors called Galaxy quick reads.
The books themselves are short stories which are available from bookshops, supermarkets and online or can be borrowed from libraries across the country. They are also available as eBooks across all major eBook platforms. There are 2015 Galaxy Quick Reads titles launched this month.

Pictures or it Didn't Happen - Sophie Hannah

The man is dangerous, Nadine claims, and a compulsive liar. Alarmed, Chloe asks her what she means, but Nadine will say no more.
Out Of The Dark - Adéle Geras
A special story for the literacy charity Quick Reads, about the healing power of love. Rob Stone comes back from the horrors of the First World War with a ruined face and a broken heart. Lonely, unable to forget the things he has seen, and haunted by the ghost of his dead Captain, all that Rob has left is a picture of the Captain's family. Rob sets out to find them, hoping that by bringing them the picture, he can bring peace to the Captain's ghost - and to his own troubled heart.
Street Cat Bob - James Bowen
When James Bowen found an injured, street cat in the hallway of his sheltered housing, he had no idea just how much his life was about to change. James had been living on the streets of London and the last thing he needed was a pet.
Yet James couldn't resist the clever tom cat, whom he quickly named Bob. Soon the two were best friends, and their funny and sometimes dangerous adventures would change both their lives, slowly healing the scars of each other's troubled pasts.
I have loved being able to pick up these good read books and read them on and off. As they are bite sized it's great that you aren't lumbered with a huge book. Plus they are great to pop in to a bag if you are traveling.
