100 Years Of Magic Disney

I think everyone has a Disney memory firmly placed in their hearts don't they and also a favourite or few characters. I remember growing up being totally fascinated with The Little Mermaid, it was such a magical loving story. I've always had a soft spot for Ariel she is my favourite Disney character ever. My sister on the other hand was totally obsessed with Mickey Mouse we had two VHS tapes they would be played one after the other all day. She loved anything to do with Mickey Mouse and she would sit for hours watching it. I've loved my kids growing up with Disney plus its also great to have an excuse to have a duvet day watching movie a with them. I've always thought you cant go wrong with a classic Disney film can you really, they are the perfect family films. Disney brings stories to life and makes them so magical, that you are sucked in from the start.

My sons first obsession was Disney cars, I think he had everything he could possibly own with cheeky chappy lighting McQueen on. Plus he actually burnt the DVD out so we had to replace it again. My daughter has also gone though the The Little Mermaid stage, along with the new favourite Frozen. I'm still randomly signing let it go while I'm doing the housework. She is a huge Disney princess fan, here she is with her collection of plush dolls.

A Huge Thank You Giveaway!

My blog started out as a little hobby, having a newborn can be pretty tough at times. I wanted something to keep my brain ticking over, and something to take my mind off thinking that i may suffer with PND again. I never thought back then I would of had the opportunities to work with the amazing brands I have. Some of the opportunities have been a dream come true. I know my blog is far from perfect but I am so grateful for everyone that pops in to have a read every now and then. This week I reached 1,000 Google friend connect followers which is AMAZING! Thank you to everyone of you.

I'm running a little giveaway for you to say thank you. I've tried to keep the Rafflecopter to a minimum and I felt some of my other social media could do with some extra love.

Tom And Jerry Tricky Trap House

With both the kids avid Tom & Jerry fans, we was delighted to be sent the tricky trap house to review from Flair and share our thoughts with you.

The box is huge compared to the house, I was slightly disappointed with the size of it to begin with, as it was a lot  smaller than I expected. It comes with a Tom & Jerry plastic figure, the detail is great and we had a bit of a fight for Jerry as it was both the kids favourite.

The house is full of working mechanical traps the falling chandelier to catch Jerry, the falling piano to crush poor Tom. The burst though door is a favourite along with the blast off rocket with a secret door.

The swing on the porch breaks in two once sat on. There are 10 traps to find and play with which Tom & Jerry have set for each other. The house is pretty sturdy and the artwork is pretty cool.

Some of the traps do need a few go's to work but other than that Lexie has loved the little house to play with and she thinks the traps are hilarious. The items are pretty basic with the fridge, piano, sofa, figures, chandelier & rocket to play with from the set.

Lexie has loved using her imagination to play with the house and its become her new favourtive toy.

The set is playable with Flair's classic chaos character collection action figure sets such as Spike Skate or Trash Tom. Suitable for children aged three years and over.

That Grubby Toy That Goes Everywhere.

Its safe to say I thought I had sneaked past the whole comfort thing, both of my children never had a dummy, a blanket or a toy they dragged around with them. I admit both of them most likely had their bottle longer than they should, but after a few restless nights everything was fine and they really didn't miss it at all.

A few weeks before the summer holidays we went on a trip with stay and play. Lexie was bought this Rainbow dash which cost me around £8. After a few days rainbow dash was banned to the stuffed toy basket and never seen again until she was found in the six weeks holiday. Since then, rainbow dash has breakfast with her, sits and watches Lexie while she in the bath, goes to nursery with her, sleeps with Lexie. well ok to be brutally honest rainbow dash is always safely tucked under her arm everywhere.

So you can imagine that rainbow dash gets a rather grubby, I thought I was clever one night peeling Rainbow dash from under her arm to wash her then leave her to dry for the next morning. Till Lexie woke up in the middle of the night crying her eyes out for rainbow dash to find her soaking wet. So I'm terrified to do it again! Why do kids feel the urge to have something that is company to them or grab the first thing when you say come on time to go. The amount of times they have taken random things to nursery or school pegs, Pringles lids or multi coloured spoons.

I'm really hoping this is just a Rainbow Dash phase.

Poppy Cat The Bubble Volcano App Review

Lexie was delighted to be able to test the new Poppy Cat app. I have recently decided to limit her time on the Ipad and to introduce more learning games. Now she's at nursery three hours a day, I'm trying to make the most of her learning at home with me too.

The app starts off as a book which introduces you to Poppy cat and all her friends. Allthough the game is to collect special badges when you complete the tasks. There are eight levels to complete and they are fun packed, with bright bold features,  sounds and music to keep little ones engaged through the games.

The first game you have to move the submarine up and down to dodge the objects and release the trapped animals from the bubbles. Its a great game for hand and eye coordination and learning the up and down swiping motion.

The next game is a series of short puzzles which you put in place and attach together. Once the piece gets close to the right place it attaches itself. Lexie has really enjoyed doing these simple puzzles.

The next game is a game of hide and seek and you have to find Poppy Cats friends to complete the maze. Which again is great for direction and problem solving.

Next game was a little bit harder as its a sequence puzzle. The different colour seahorses come out of the volcano and you pop the bubbles which are the right colours. The seahorses get more and more as you get on into the game and other creatures come out and if you pop them you don't get the special badge at the end.

The next game is all about direction where you have to get the seahorses out the cave without bumping in to anything and waking the giant squid up.

The next game is all about notes and musical and you touch the glowing seahorse to make the sound, if you touch them all in time a lovely tune is played.

The last game is matching up Poppy Cat and her friends special items that they have lost in the garden.

Lexie has really enjoyed her time on the app and really has worked hard in all the levels.

The app is available on ITunes and is priced at £1.99

My Top Three Nail Polish For September.

I haven't done a nail post for ages, to be totally honest its so hard to catch a decent photo of some of the polishes that sometimes I really hate the pictures I've taken when I look back on them.

I've really loved these three polishes the past few months that I thought I would share with you. Plus I have a lovely giveaway for you to win some polish of your own soon. How cool is that!

Since Nails Inc have changed there bottle i have totally gone off them and decided to try some other brands.

My latest polish is some very cool vegan polish if you saw my last post in slowly switching to a cruelty free lifestyle. I actually followed a vegan friend over to FairyPants page and was one of the lucky testers in testing out a new vegan polish read it HERE. I picked up two nail polishes from their range which are a mere £3.99 which is a good value for money don't you think. This polish " Rose " is a pearly pink with black specks which is a really unique and quite cool effect.

This pretty shimmer metallic pink from BarryM, I've totally fell in love with this polish its so pretty when its on. I've become a fan of BarryM the past few months.

Next is this pretty gold polish with silver small glitter and gold circles from Vanity Undone "stood on the gold" I won these on a blog competition and I won four and they need a few coats but I love the different aspects of the glitters so pretty!

Pro Formula Range From Tesco

I'm totally sold on the pro formula range from Tesco, the prices are pretty good and the products have been amazing. I don't live by a Tesco so I've been getting my mom to grab me a few bits when she's shopping. Check out my previous review Here .

Tesco’s exclusive and scientifically developed Pro Formula skincare brand has welcomed new additions to its range. Offering targeted solutions to skincare concerns such as ageing and blemishes, all for under £5 and under.

I was very excited to be able to try two more products from there range the past few weeks. I was sent the anti age cleansing wipes & the radiance melting gel cleanser.

The pro formula Anti age cleansing wipes come in a pack of twenty five the scent is very pleasant and mild. The wipes contain Q10, vitamin E and green tea. Which help to protect your skin against the signs of premature ageing. The wipes are a good thickness and size and are lumpy so once used your skin feels smooth and refreshed. Wipe across the face, neck and ears. Then rub in light circular movements all over your face. Suitable for all skin types, Dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic.

RRP - £3.00

Next is my top beauty product ever, I have instantly fell in love with the Radiance melting gel cleanser it it amazing. The cleanser contains green tea & vitamin E. Massage the cleanser in to DRY skin, making circular movements over your face. The cleanser gives a warming/melting sensation while you are doing this then the gel turns in to an oil, then once you wash it off it turns milky. After a couple of uses I've already noticed my skin looking and feeling better. It come a in a 100ml tube & its the first time I've ever used a cleanser on dry skin. All my others have been on wet/damp skin. Suitable for normal/combination skin. Dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic. I've been recommending this to everyone and anyone.

RRP - £5.00

Naansters Snack Review

I'm not generally a microwave snacker, but I recently did notice Naansters in my local Nisa in the holidays. So we was thrilled to be asked to try and test them out and give our views.

Naansters come in the following flavours :

Chicken tikka
Vegetable tikka
Balti chicken
Beef madras

The concept is actually pretty awesome and if I have a curry I fold my naan and put the curry and rice in mine. I'm a huge naan bread fan and a curry isn't complete with out on. The Naansters come in a little sleeve so you don't even need a plate & you microwave for 90 seconds. I actually popped mine in the oven for a few minutes as I like mine a little crispier. They are bursting with flavours and its just the right mix of rice, chicken, vegetable or beef, I just felt they needed a tad more sauce in for the curry effect. I really enjoyed the chicken tikka and even though the taste is lovely it isn't overpowering either. I know when they was cooking I could really smell and the herbs and spices.

My other half really enjoyed them and actually took quite a few to work as they have a microwave there to use, so they are good for on the go work and at home or even as a little treat.

RRP -£1.79 each
