Alternative Easter Gifts.

I've rounded up a few Easter gifts that don't involve chocolate, sometimes the kids are bombarded with chocolate we end up melting them down into crispy cakes.

First up is a gorgeous book from top that publishing  - Hattie Peck

It a lovely story about little Hattie Peck who loved any type of eggs, big, small & speckled ones. All she dreamt was to have an egg all off her own. One day Hattie left her cosy coop on an adventure to find all the abandoned eggs of the world. And find them she did! But what will happen when they hatch? Hattie Peck is a heart-warming tale of triumph in the face of adversity and is a perfect bedtime story.

The kids both loved the story of Hattie Peck and her adventure to find all the abandoned eggs of the world. We loved the warm characters and the beautiful illustrations of the book.

RRP : £6.29

Disney Products At Asda

Asda have an amazing range of Disney products available across toys, dining, books and DVDs, throughout Asda's Easter kids event. With massive discounts there is something special for your little one this Easter. Keep them entertained this Easter with one of there favourite Disney characters.

We got sent a little mermaid DVD and princess book. Anyone who knows me will know that Lexie's favourite princess is Ariel and she has watched the Little mermaid about 100 times. So she was thrilled to receive her own personal copy of the film. I remember when I was small and the same film captured me too.

Disney's twenty-eighth animated feature is its first fairytale since 1958's 'Sleeping Beauty'. Ariel is the mermaid daughter of King Triton, and lives beneath the waves. However, Ariel longs to see the world above, especially after rescuing a handsome prince from drowning. To this end she makes a deal with sea witch Ursula: Ariel can live above the sea in exchange for her beautiful singing voice. Ariel soon regrets her decision, however, when it transpires that her father's kingdom is at risk.

Selected DVDs are 2 for £13

A beautiful hardback book, with suction characters that are the perfect size for little hands. Select a princess and follow the story and create 3D stories with the princesses. Job Of Mum & My Perfect Mothers Day

I think myself I'm an easy person to buy for I love flowers, candles, chocolate & nail polish. I think I'm pretty easy to please, looking around at all the fantastic wish lists and gift guides around for Mother's Day is lovely seeing what all moms would like as there treat. I've had a whole host of beautiful gifts perfume, Teddy's, charms, flowers, spa day & chocolates to name some.

Sometimes its nice to be just appreciated for being a mommy. I get handmade cards from school which I love as it shows there creative side. I remember making my mom all weird stuff out of cereal boxes and pipe cleaners when I was younger.

After seeing this article on prezzybox last week while I was in bed recovering from my operation, made me think that being a mom is pretty amazing. We are all super mums in our own right, always one step ahead of where we need to be. Prezzybox have done there intrepid research &  thought it would be an interesting experiment to actually price up the ‘job of Mum’ and see how many of you would actually apply. Almost £100,000.00 for a year’s work amazing if we could get a quarter of that hey!

Aldi Almat Bio Liquid Capsules Review

Aldi seem to be winning awards left and right centre for there products lately. See here all the lovely awards they have won. I've got to admit since changing to most of our shopping over to Aldi we have saved around £80 a month, we are eating better due to be meal planning.

My sister is doing a guest post review today on the blog.

Almat Bio Liquid Capsules £2.99 - 20 washes.

The capsules work out as just over 14p per wash, compared to other liquid tablets on the market these are a good price. The instructions are easy to read and follow. You add one capsule to the drum with your washing. The capsules are a nice scent and leave your clothes smelling nice after the wash, they dissolve well and don't leave no sticky residue over.

They have a click and lock lid but its pretty easy to open, please read the warning label before use and keep in a locked cupboard out the reach of children.

Be Careful What You Wish For.

If someone had asked me a month ago, what i would wish for for that moment in time. My reply would of been along the lines of a lie in and a week in bed.

Last week i got that wish, i had planned so many things for my recovery in bed after the operation, a pile of books to read, lots of lovely blog posts to write,  blog reading & catch up on watching some TV shows. How wrong was i with my fairytale story. The pain has been awful, every movement has made it ten times worse,  getting in and out of bed has been like a army mission itself. I've had to have help getting washed, dressed and the kids help me put my socks on. I haven't been able to read as i can't lay on my side or sit straight up, so when i got my book out i found it too heavy to hold. the ipad was the same it felt like a small elephant in my hands so i couldn't write anything or read any blogs. the only thing i managed to do was watch Grimm season 2, but I've been extremely bored. my body is worn out resting but my head is on go, go, go. My phone has been my lifesaver i think without this i would of gone off my rocker. I'm feeling alot stronger this week, but im still awfully tired.

Ciate Pocket Money & OPI The Man With The Golden Gun ( Bond)

I do have a few other polishes than Nails inc. I got this lovely nude Ciate from a magazine, sometime last year.

The OPI The Man With The Golden Gun is the most expensive nail polish i own, it was a gift last year from my mom and sister. What is special about this is it has flecks of real gold flakes. You almost don't want to use it. Commemorating James Bond's 50th anniversary OPI Skyline capsule collection takes inspiration from the suave spy himself. It's made up of twelve ultra-stylish and sophisticated shades with The Man With The Golden Gun as the grand finale. It comes in a special limited edition collectable bottle and Bond-themed packaging. I made the total mistake of using a nude colour it really needs a dark colour behind it to make it pop like a black, deep purple or blue.

Characters Chill Factor Slushy Maker Colour Blast Review.

Raiden has saw the advent on TV a few times and asked for a slushy maker. I've always thought it was a tad too good to be true, a slushy in seconds..... really??

We got sent a red slushy maker to review and Raiden was delighted. You have to freeze the cup for around 6-8 hours beforehand. So its best to use them refreeze so its all ready for the next time.

The pack has a silicone outer cup, a freeze pack that goes inside the cup, a lid that screws on then the top that you can screw on and off and a long spoon.
So you add the cup without the top lid, freeze until the pack is solid.

Add chilled juice ( room tempeture won't work ) or what ever you want to turn into slush, add the top and squeeze until it turns into slush. Don't overfill as it will just all spill out when you squeeze. It does take about 30 seconds, its actually pretty cool and I don't know how it works but it actually does.

These will be perfect for the summer when its hot as its an instant cool down.

These are aimed at all children aged 3+. RRP - £12.99

A Few Of My Favourite Things..

Ok I don't talk about myself much, its mainly about the kids and what we get up too right. Thought I would do a quick post on a few of my favourite things.

Everyone knows number 1 is my nail polish, I dream about it all the time.

Number 2 my iPad is like my third child, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do when it breaks. I was lucky to win this in a competition a few years ago and its been at my side since.

Number 3 - Brothers Toffee Apple cider, yum!!! I'm not a huge drinker anymore but when I do have a drink I love this cider. It so lush.

Number 4 - this is a collection of jewellery my other half, family and the kids have brought me. My mum ring was the first present off my son when he was only a few weeks old. I have two Thomas sabo charm bracelets one loaded with charms and the other with marry me which the other half proposed to me with. Last up is my beautiful Thomas sabo  butterfly necklace.

Number 5 is Cadbury Oreo, this is like heaven! Mmmmmmmm

Tutu Thursday

Sarah's World Jelly Rose Yate have a tutu Thursday post and all you have to do is dress your little one in a tutu and post it.

Today Lexie is wearing a hello kitty top from H&M, H&M grey tights and a sleeping beauty tutu from Tiny Treasure. Pretty In pink.

Marble Rolling Mothers Day Cards.

A simple but effective Mothers Day card, first i cut out the word " MUM". This can be done with Mom or even Nan too.

Lexie used red and yellow paint and a baking tray to keep the marble on the tray and she just moved from side to side, dipping in the paint when needed. Once dry i added a pink butterfly i got from eBay.

What do you guys think??
