Super Easy Shortbread Or Shortbread Cake Fail

What you will need to make the shortbread :

8oz plain flour
6oz butter
4oz caster sugar

Mix together the sugar and butter, add flour bit by bit and crumble . Then blend until its in a thick dough. If it won't blind together use a touch of water. Roll it out with a rolling pin and add to a baking tray. I used the top of casserole lid for mine then just poked the to with a fork.

Cook on gas mark 4 for 15 minutes until golden.  Wait to cool then cut.. We seemed to have used self raising flour instead of plain so it ended up more of a shortbread cake, it went well with a bit if custard and both kids said it was delicious. That's what happens when a three year old is helping you and you don't pay attention hehehe
