Jacques Vert Kaliko Dress Review

I was thrilled to be asked to review a gorgeous dress from Jacques Vert. I'm off to an engagement party in August so wanted something special for the day. As soon as you think of Jacques Vert you think of designer and top brands. I will be totally honest when I say Jacques Vert is a site I generally look at when its sale time as its out of my price range. I couldn't justify buying a dress for over £300 when I have two small children. So you can imagine what a treat this is for me.

Jacques Vert have just launched a new collection with former Bellville Sassoon designer Lorcan Mullany and Rachel Trevor-Morgan, milliner to the H.M. The Queen.

I wanted to start off with the layout of the site. Its really easy to use, the drop down boxes make it easy to find what you are looking for. Plus the side box you can select sizes and price ranges. There isn't anything more annoying when you find that perfect dress and it isn't in your size. The site is iPad friendly ( hooray) and doesn't flick in to mobile mode one loaded which I find stupidly annoying on a huge of big websites.

I chose the Kaliko Inez print wrap dress it came in a beautiful ribboned box wrapped up in tissue paper.  I'm a huge fan of dresses that burst with colour and that are that bit unique. The print is very much like a multicoloured spatter/splash paint print and it works really well.

The front is a wrap over design which creates a V neckline.

The dress is knee length, short capped sleeves,  zip up back and waistband detail which flatters your shape if you have a bit of a tummy.

The dress is floaty and super light with it being 100% Polyester its great for machine washing too. I am absolutely in love with this dress and I see myself wearing it all the time. I think because of the colours you could get away with different accessories for different events it can easily be dressed up or down with a pair of flats or heels too.

I'm super sad that the dress is slightly tight on me at the moment, due to me putting on more weight than I though after my operation. I promise to show you an OOTD with it on once it fits me properly.

RRP - £129
