Humpty Dumpty Simple Craft Puzzle - Nursery Rhymes

Lexie doesn't really interact with puzzles anymore, so I thought we could make a puzzle together from one of her favourite nursery rhymes " Humpty Dumpty " first of all I cut out an egg shape. Lexie added on the purple eyes, I drew a nose and a mouth. I cut out legs, arms and a hat out of different coloured paper. I cut the main body in to four pieces. I wanted to start it off an easier puzzle.

I arranged the puzzle to show are what it looked like. I then rearranged the puzzle and asked her to make Humpty Dumpty again.

You can make the puzzle easier or harder by cutting up the pieces even more. It literally took us not even five minutes to make and she enjoyed playing for over fifteen minutes redoing and doing it again. The puzzle is a great learning tool to help with hand and eye coordination and colours.

  1. Great idea, I've never tried that before, but my girls would enjoy it.
