I knew I had to start using up the bags of plaster than had been on the top of my cupboard for over a year. I'm not sure why I had them or what I was planing to do. I brought a Minnie and Mickey mini cake tin just before Christmas and had never used them so I thought this would be a perfect project for my daughter. Then while passing the charity shop I noticed some letter and number moulds for a £1. So I grabbed them and thought we could made some homemade magnets to jazz up the fridge.
Things you will need:
Plaster in Paris,
Moulds ( there are loads of silicone ones in the poundshop)
I made up the plaster by adding water until it became thick, poured it in the mould and left to set until the next day.
The following day I got the kids to paint them and left them to dry.
Before covering them with PVA glue and a little bit of water to give them a glossy finish. After they was dry we added some circle magnets that I got off eBay for under £2.

Doctor Who is turning 50 years old this year & recently a new series has begun staring the 11th Doctor Matt Smith and his new companion Clara. We was thrilled to be sent The Dalek Invasion Time Zone Playset and a new smaller scale figure ( ice warrior) 3.75 inches tall compared the the previous over 5 inches from the Characters range.
They will be more affordable at £6.99 each meaning avid fans can collect easier. All the main villains and characters will be part of the collection.Collect and build the universe of Doctor Who with these 3D card diorama playsets that feature different time zones visited by the Doctor in the hit TV series. The figure was super cute, loads of detail and are a nice size for figures. Raiden recently has started watching Dr Who so he was impressed.
You can travel between different time zones or clip the sets together to build bigger ‘zones’. The playsets are in scale with the Doctor Who 3.75-inch action figures so you can create your own adventures or simply display your collection.
The Dalek Invasion Time Zone Playset was bright and very detailed, but as it was card it was super fiddly to put together and kept unclipping while play. Which caused a bit of upset while playing. We had to actually cello-tape parts together so it was stable. The playset looked pretty awesome when set up with the amazing details. Was quite surprised no Dalek was included in the set which meant is pretty useless on its own it does include hoverbout accessory.
We also got sent the Doctor Who sonic screwdriver The Doctor’s multipurpose tool is a Gallifreyan device, with numerous settings, easily controlled at the press of his thumb. The Doctor has had many sonic screwdrivers of different designs throughout his life and now you can choose from four previous iconic designs. The collection includes The Third Doctor, The Fourth Doctor’s, The Tenth Doctor’s and River Song’s Future Sonic that all feature realistic sound FX. The Tenth’s Doctor’s Sonic and River’s Future Sonic feature also feature light FX. Four to collect. This was pretty cool for role play to magic yourself in to the amzing Doctor Who.

Not only is my son a great marvel fan, but my other half is too, I couldn't turn this new animated film Hulk vs Wolverine review down.
A battle of two great marvel legends. Over the past week, Hulk has been tearing a line across the Canadian wilderness, leaving a swathe of destruction in his wake. He has to be stopped, and there’s only one man up to the job.
He’s the best at what he does, and what he does isn’t very nice. He’s Wolverine, an elite agent of Canada’s top secret Department H, and he’s been put on Hulk’s trail with a single objective stop the green goliath… at all costs. Lots of blood is spread, during the film so it isn't suitable for younger ones. It's. a defo a battle of two marvel legends.
Hulk and Wolverine are about to enter the fiercest battle of their lives. And they have no idea that there are a few unpleasant surprises waiting for them on the other side.
Both my son and other half enjoyed the film, I didn't realise till I looked at the DVD it an actual 12. There is lots of fighting in the film, which I expect that's why it has its 12 mark.
Lionsgate releases Hulk vs Wolverine on DVD on 8th July 2013

One of my weakness has always been bread. We use I have thick white bread and my diet as toast for breakfast then sandwich for lunch. Since eating healthier we have moved on to wholemeal bread which the whole family does prefer now. The lovely Warburtons sent me a lovely hamper with a load of healthier alternatives in, to try out. I was quite shocked with the healthier range they do have everything to satisfy everyone.
Half & Half bread - This is a mix of huge and wholemeal but it still looks like white bread. Wholemeal and White flour are blended together in this clever, tasty loaf giving you and your family essential fibre and wholegrain in every bite. This product contains 50% white flour and 50% wholegrain flour.
Rich And Tasty Wholemeal - Wholemeal with Rye is a delicious, thick sliced wholemeal loaf made with Rye Fibre. Rye is tasty and really good for you. The result speaks for itself. High in fibre, with two slices providing over 25% of your GDA, the new loaf makes it easier to reach your daily fibre intake. What’s more, it’s low in fat and a source of iron and zinc.
Seeded Batch - This was my favourite out the lot, I do like the extra seeds in it. All Warburtons Batch breads are baked with their sides touching to make them extra soft. The Seeded Batch loaf is no exception. With a sensational five seed combination of linseed, millet, poppy, sunflower, and sesame seeds it's absolutely delicious!
Half and Half Rolls - My son had these for these his lunchbox throughout the week and he liked the change from a normal sandwich. Contains 50% white flour and 50% wholegrain flour.
Sandwich Thins - small wraps that can be filled with anything. These was perfect for a slice of ham and bursting with salad. These have been put back on my shopping list.
Huge thank you to Warburtons sending us lots of yummy treats to try.

This actually couldn't of came at a better time for us, as Raiden has been doing The topic of Knights and castles this term. He was excited to get the figures and take them in to school on the Friday for his show and tell. We was sent one of the knights on a horse and two knights. As all Schleich figures they are a tough plastic, made to last!
Each individual figure in their comprehensive collection of hand painted knights, along with the fighting warriors, is bold and colourful yet fits in with the old-world theme completely. I love the detail on Schleich figures, they always have such amazing features. They are worth the extra money.
Rather than the cliched battle against good & evil, powerful dragon knights will be throwing the gauntlet down to the wise order of griffins. Shimmering armour, flowing capes, fearsome expressions, the new band of knights lining up for action from July 2013 look suitably ferocious.
