Hevea Prize Draw - The Eco Baby Products

Hevea – the eco baby products and its founder Terese Hoffeldt. Terese wanted to find a pacifier in natural rubber with a cool and stylish design. But most of the pacifiers she found contained plastic or had a design, which did not appeal to her. she was also looking for pacifiers that were sustainably produced and wrapped in environmental friendly packaging. she soon realised that it was impossible to find what I was looking for. mshe decided to take matters into her own hands. she started to develop the designs for the Hevea pacifier.
The Hevea range includes pacifiers, teethers, bath toys and accessories.  All Hevea products are made from 100% natural rubber latex, meaning parents do not have to worry about the presence of harmful materials such as PVC. BPA, phthalates and artificial colouring.  The natural make-up of the rubber means that it is soft and gentle on the baby’s face.  Perfect for eco babies.
Hevea fans include Miranda Kerr, Jessica Alba and Alicia Keys. They are launching an online shop in the UK next month and they have also just been awarded the Positive Luxury Blue Butterfly.
They have offered four great prizes to one of my lucky readers.

Jokers' Masquerade Deluxe Merida Costume Review

Lexie loves to dress up and I couldn't resist on getting a new fancy dress costume for her. We have a big dressing up box which has all sorts in for playing dress up.

I chose the Deluxe Merida costume as Lexie is already blessed with curly red hair just like Merida out of Disney's Brave. In size small which is 3-4 years.

Lexie is only two but I like dressing up items to be bigger so you can fit them over normal day clothes. It comes in two more sizes Medium: Age 5 - 6 Years & Large: Age 7 - 8 Years Jokers   Masquerade have a massive selection of children's,TV, film-fancy & dress . Which would suit every child and they can transform into there favourite star.

The costume came with a headband and long sleeved dress in a beautiful emerald green, which is just like Merida's in the Disney's film. The materiel was lovely and light. all seems was in tact and it looks like it will be hard wearing. I think it will take a bit to rip it, not like the cheap dresses you can buy. I loved the hoop skirt which gave the dress a bit of a fuller shape, plus it stops you tripping over the dress too.

So if your after any cheap fancy dress pop over to Jokers Masquerade, where you will be spoilt for choice.

Tropic Skin Care Body Polish Review

Ok so I'm one of these moms, that just about has enough time to brush my hair and pop it in a bobble most days. One of my promises to myself this year was to make time for me. Every mom needs a treat, right? I've come to the point now when I know a £1 shower gel isn't enough, you do pay for what you get. Spending does go a long away with the right products.

I'm a massive lover of body products, I love the smells, textures and trying new things. Tropic skin care  asked if I would like to test out there body polish and I knew I couldn't refuse to try a new brand and product. There 100% Natural Body Smooth Refreshing Polish contains a blend of the finest pure plant & essential oils to stimulate skin renewal while dramatically smoothing, polishing & energising the skin. it contains natural sea minerals that gently buff away dead skin cells and Vitamin E to rejuvenate & revitalise, leaving your skin feeling unbelievably smooth & soft!

Expertly blended essential oils of top notes of Lemon Myrtle, mid notes of Bergamot & base notes of White Patchouli invigorates & refreshes your senses. Great for use anywhere on the body that is rough or dry, and highly recommended for use on your feet!

First up it came packed lovely, it did feel like a real treat.

It comes with a spatula to mix the oils with the salts. Best results are on dry skin. I scooped a bit out and used it on my hands and feet.

It smells divine, the richness comes though. After rinsing off the salts the oils feel really nice on your skin, leaving it silky smooth and refreshed.

I loved everything about the body polish and it's left me eager to try out more products from Tropic Skin Care too.

Vanish Oxi Action Powder Review.

Ok kids clothes are a nightmare to get clean. With a 6 & 2 year old, I'm always chucking stuff away because I can't get tough stains out.

So first up we got sent to test, Vanish Oxi Action Powder contains Oxi Powerlift which removes all types of stains, from the ones you can clearly see to the tougher ones that may be hidden. Vanish Oxi Action Powder is safe to use on both coloured and white clothing.

A simple scoop added to the wash or add a spoon to soaking clothes. Vanish is great for stain removal              Even great on a 30 degree wash too.

Here is one of The little ones tops, after being at nursery. This had been washed but still had the marks on. As you can see its pretty stained after a soak in a scoop of vanish it had come out.

BEFORE

AFTER

Next up was Vanish Oxi Action Crystal White Powder works to remove stains and keep your whites as white as possible. The special formula contains Oxi Powerlift agents which penetrate and lift the stain first time, and also whitening ingredients to help retain a brilliant whiteness in your washing.
Add a scoop of this powder to your wash load to see great results. Even my sons white school shirts lost there slight greyness after soaking then a wash in the machine. Mix 1/4 scoop pf powder with 3/4 scoop of water (max 40°C) into a paste.Gently rub stain as required using the knobbly base of the scoop.
Leave paste on the stain for 10 minutes (max).
Wash as usual with your detergent and add another scoop of Vanish.

Over on Facebook Vanish is running something called the 'Tip Exchange', where they are asking users to publish tips on their Facebook app. The best tips can win £100, what a fab way to earn a few pounds just for sharing a little tip.

The Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game Review

I always get excited with new games to play with Raiden, he loves to keep busy. So we was very happy to be sent the Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game, which is from 3 years due to the small parts. The illustrations on the game are really cool, very bright and cheery.

Your forest friends are hungry and they need your help. Spin the spinner, squeeze the matching colored acorn with your Squirrel Squeezers and place it into your log. Be the first to fill your log with delicious acorns and you win. You could also spin “pick an acorn,” “steal an acorn,” or “lose an acorn,” so be strategic, little squirrel.

Develops matching, sorting, strategic thinking, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and pre-handwriting skills.

We loved the game and we took it to Raidens grandads over Easter so we could all play together. Raiden enjoyed the game and he understood it really well.

You can win one of FIVE Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Games by entering the Learning Resources (UK)  Facebook Competition HEREThe Facebook competition closing date is Tuesday 30th April 2013.

Asda Little Angels Comfort Dry Nappy Review

Ok so I've been a little stuck with Lexie and nappies ATM. I've used an array of nappies from disposables to reusable and are all so different but one thing is the same they all leak. Ive also found the tabs at the side give Lexie a rash on her sides too. With still getting though about five nappies a day, the pack doesn't last long.

For the past week we have been using Little Angels by Asda super dry. They kept Lexie dry and happy, considering how thin they felt I was very surprised. No leaks and no rash from the tabs either, perfect. I'm confident when Lexie goes to bed that she won't wet though resulting her to have a decent nights sleep.

A pack is £5.97 or Asda have them on offer for 2 for £10.

Haba Panomime Charades Mini Game - 75th Anniversary

The last item from Haba was the Pantomime Charades Mini Game to celebrate there 75th anniversary. You choose a card from the pack and without making a sound, try and describe to the other players what is on the card. The cards are a fab size to hold and are brightly coloured.

The game is best for four or more players. Raiden found it hard to try not to make a sound, but it was all good fun watching him try, the game is from suitable from age 4.

I loved the quirky little tin they came in to keep them safe. The game is fantastic for just popping in to a bag for a trip out or on holiday as it wouldn't take up any room.

I just want to say thanks to Haba for choosing us as one of your 75th anniversary bloggers.

Haba Hamburger & French Fries Play Food - HABA 75th Anniversary

Our next item we got sent from Haba was the Hamburger & French fries play food. I've really only ever bought plastic play food for the children. So it was nice to get a different type. Lexie got a play kitchen for Christmas, so she loves to make and give out play food.

The set is soft padded fabric, very light to touch & realistic.
This set includes magnetic bun ( to hold the contents together)  hamburgers, cheese, lettuce, tomato and fries in a cardboard serving box.  other thing I was pleased to see is that the chips are individual bits of felt rather than a single clump. This means chips can be shared and dipped and there's much more opportunity for interesting play. Lexie has loved this little set. I know it can be a bit controversial but I think as a added extra along with other play food it's a great learning tool.

Haba Discovering Paletti Ball HABA 75th Anniversary

I  have always loved Haba wooden toys, they are always so bright and colourful . They have always stood out to me. The fact that they are great for little hands they are also very educational for children. We was thrilled to be picked as a HABA 75th Anniversary blogger. So we will be getting 3 fantastic toys to trial and test out.

Haba is a wood manufacturing company known for high-quality baby and children's toys, as well as children's games and furniture. HABA wants to playfully support children’s development, make their lives happier, more exciting, and full of the delight of discovery: to put it simply, to make their world a little more child-friendly. a wide variety of HABA toys and games have been honoured with awards for exceptional design. Since 1993, no fewer than six HABA games received the “Children’s game of the Year” award.

The first up was the Haba Discovering Paletti Ball . The ball is lots of colourful wooden cones threaded securely on to an elastic which Lexie loved to bits. It's great for little hands as you can twist and move the cones so they go next to different colours. Its like a flexible puzzle ball, great for learning colours too, which we are learning Lexie at the moment. The ball is approx  10 x 6 cm.

Age: from 10 months+
