So come on who doesn't like sweets hey! Are you looking for something for Christmas, for a special someone or that person who you never know what to buy for? I think I may have the answer the All Occasion Sweet Shop!
The All Occasion Sweet Shop is a family-run business which represents an on-line version of our earlier old fashioned sweet shop based in Lancashire.
When they opened our original sweet shop it was the intention of providing people locally with somewhere great to visit which would evoke wonderful childhood memories.
Throughout the 1960`s and 70`s the shop itself, known then as `Old Fred`s Toffee Shop`, had been a favourite calling place of one of the older partners now of the All Occasion Sweet Shop.
When Old Fred sadly passed away in the 1980`s the shop progressed through various ownerships and various trades until, in the late 1990`s, we were lucky enough to buy the shop ourselves and to set about restoring it to its former glory as a good old fashioned sweet shop.
The huge success of this business over the years is what has led us now into the magical world of on-line trading, but our philosophy in running the business remains exactly the same as Old Fred`s philosophy all those years ago ....
....to brighten up the dullest of days ……. to put a smile on the face of all who visit us ……. and to help make and revive some wonderful memories !!
After looking on the website the serious have something for everyone!

So we made some spooky playdough for Halloween, well its not that spooky we turned it orange and we used Halloween cookie cutters to make shapes. all good fun for the kids though.
Grab an old pan and these ingredients to make some of your own
Two cups of plain flour
One cup of salt
1 tablespoon of oil
1 cup of water
2 spoons of cream of tartar
Add it in a saucepan and put on a low heat until It goes gooey and doughy. Once it goes like that take it out ( watch its not too hot) and kneed for a few minutes in to a ball.
We had a fab chance to review a new spooky Halloween DVD, first impressions I actually thought it was Tim Burton film. Raiden is loving anything to do with Zombies at the moment so he was really eager to watch the film when it came.
Join Dixie and friends on a spooky adventure to the land of the dead!
Dixie is a rebellious teenager who always wanted to be different. You should be careful what you wish for, because something was about to happen that would change her life forever! One night during a ferocious storm, Dixie is knocked unconscious and awakens to find she has been transformed into a zombie!
Accompanied by her new friends Vitriol, the wise zombie sage, Isis, a highly superstitious Egyptian mummy princess, and Gonner, a pirate cabin boy, Dixie must now travel across the land of Azoth and defeat the evil zombie witch, Nubulosa, to find her way home!
The film is awesome, I loved it too. It's been watched nearly everyday since we got it and is really entertaining.

One of the best-loved Christmas stories of modern times is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Relive the magic of Raymond Briggs’ inspired classic on DVD and Blu-Ray.
Just like i was after watching it the first time when i was a little girl, the children have been glued to ' The Snowman' the magic of a simple picture story is totally amazing its really something you never get bored of.
Academy Award nominee The Snowman has captured the hearts and imaginations of a generation of families across the globe. Now, this timeless classic is available for the first time ever in high definition as The Snowman: 30th Anniversary Edition is released on Blu-Ray and DVD from November 5th 2012.
Over the past 30 years, The Snowman has become a national institution, a heart-warming and moving tale of love, hope and imagination. Raymond Briggs’ sketches are brought wonderfully to life through expert animation alongside the legendary musical score by composer Howard Blake.
The story follows a young boy’s magical adventure when he wakes in the night to discover his snowman has come to life. The pair soar through the night skies in a beautifully animated scene accompanied by the haunting song which made Aled Jones a household name, ‘Walking in the Air’.
Watching The Snowman has become a Christmas tradition in households around the world and now fans can see the intricate methods involved in the production in the release’s unique bonus content.
Features include an audio commentary with the producer John Coates and design supervisor Jill Brookes, along with Joanna Harrison and Hillary Audes, who put the original story board together. And Aled Jones and Peter Auty both give humorous perspectives on the common misconceptions surrounding the original recording of ‘Walking in the Air’.
Blu-Ray & DVD available at all major retailers from 5th November 2012
As you are all aware we are currently decorating the children's room. As it was looking pretty worn out and very blue. Not great now we have little miss really. I think it's pretty important to have visuals on there walls, so they feel comfortable in their own space. Plus it's great for a learning tool too.
While searching online for wall art I stumbled across www.happyspaces.co.uk which is an online art gallery for unique art for children's spaces. Happy Spaces brings you a collection of colourful and imaginative wall art for kids by some of the world's finest artists. They pride themselves on offering art that is refreshingly different and fun for children! Exciting adventures, fabulous stories and lovable characters, are all there waiting to be discovered by your child through the medium of art. All their pictures, reproduced on cotton canvas, are made with love and are exclusive to Happy Spaces. Each canvas is expertly finished, beautifully wrapped and supplied with a specially designed postcard.
Happy spaces agreed to send me one of their best sellers for the children's room which was London Town Canvas Print by CLARE FENNELL
''This is London! Celebrate the capital of cool and take home this stylish canvas print showcasing the delights of “London Town”. Enjoy exploring the capital together with your little ones as you point out its big red buses, cool cabbies and Queen’s guard. Take a ride on the London Eye and pop in to see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament on the way. Contemporary, colourful, cultured, - we love it''
With the queens jubilee and the Olympics this year I actually couldn't of asked for anything else that was unisex, full of colour and appropriate for their room. The canvas came and it is amazing stunning quality the canvas is 50 x 50 x 2 cm (20 x 20 x 0.8 in) & comes with a hanger attached for wall mounting.
The prints are stretched over wooden bars made with wood from FSC approved sources including FSC certified well-managed forests, controlled sources and/or recycled material. The back of each print is neatly covered with tape leaving a very clean finish with no nasty staples.
My son absolutely loves the wall art, which actually has resulted in talking a lot about London Town and the In's and outs

I love photobooks, I think there an awesome way to put a group of photos together instead of hundreds of photos. I was delighted to be asked to review a Cewe Photobook .
Generally for me putting a photobook takes me ages to put together and it's something I have to do & come back too. One thing for next time I am going to put a selection if 50 favourtive photos in a folder, so I don't so end hours looking though a million photo folders on the laptop.
The site and uploading was pretty easy to use, you download the program and away you go. I tried to keep the book as plain as I can as I like the photos to explain themselves. They was lots of fonts, colours and backgrounds to choose from on the site. We used the glossy effect which has made the pictures really stand out.
Even though I added pictures to all pages, there is a few blank pages when the book came. Which I'm gonna add hand prints or artwork to make it look least odd. Another thing was when I had used other sites before and used the soft front cover opinion the book has come and it's a squishy front cover this one was just a standard book cover. Overall it's a nice pleasant keepsake for all the family to enjoy for years to come!

After coming across this fab idea the other day of melting Hama Beads in to Autumn Leaves. I knew we needed to have a try. I had a think of how I could tie a craft idea in to Halloween. So we dug the Halloween cookie cutters out, popped a bit of oil in the inside so the beads wouldn't stick, filled them up with coloured Hama Beads, I popped them in the oven on gas mark 3 for around 12 minutes.
The effect is fantastic, they don't fully melt so they have a 3D effect, because we used an oven tray the bottom was flat which gave me another idea. I had some sticky backed magnets from another activity so I thought this would be a fab idea to jazz up our fridge.
So tar- da. Here are our fab easy to make Halloween magnets.

We was delighted to be asked to go and test out the Frankie & Benny's new cocktail menu and for some yummy food. I am very partial to cocktails when I haven't got my mummy head on, so I thought it was the perfect time to catch up with my little sister.
We went and Saturday and I forgot to book a table so we had to wait 50 minutes to be seated. We grabbed a table in the bar and waited to be called.
When we got a table the waitress was really bubbly and friendly, we ordered two cocktails to start while we looked at the menus PS I Love You & Strawberry shortcake.
PS I love you had a tang of disarrano with a mild creamy favour with a cute heart made out on the top.
Strawberry shortcake was very amaretto with lots of cream and half a strawberry which tasted like yummy marzipan. The present ion of the cocktails is really nice. None of them was really strong that you was really taste the alcohol that was in them.
For mains we had goats cheese & mushroom calzone & New York chicken & ordered our second cocktails strawberry daiquiri & cosmopolitan
The strawberry daiquiri was frozen and bursting with berry flavours, it was a tad on the sour side for me and cold, but my sister loved it.
Cosmopolitan was full on cocktail and you could really taste the alcohol in it, was very refreshing and great to drink. I love the small cocktails that are worth drinking. I'm a sucker for cheap cocktails that normally watered down with pop & ice, but these was proper nice and worth paying the extra for.
We loved the meal and the cocktails, it was an awesome night to catch up with my little sister. Thanks Frankie and Benny's.
After today, I have made it my mission to start doing more with the kids! Now that Lexie is 18mths, I really want to start more craft activities with her. Even though we do activities together I've realised i could do a lot more!
Today we did a simple printing activity, a drawn pumpkin ( don't laugh) orange paint, a pumpkin cookie cutter & a green pen.
She had so much fun getting messy and here is the end result :-)

I am always trying to get Raiden to play games as a family it was become quite a task when he gets bored so easily. Garden Games asked if I would like to review the mega high tower game, which I thought would be perfect for us.
When the box came it was pretty heavy. I actually forgot how heavy wood can be. We did actually play the smaller version of jenga with Raiden before and he knew what it was before I got it out the bag.
The Garden Games Mega Hi-Tower in a Bag includes a smaller version of the very popular Garden Games Hi-Tower and a carry bag for the game. The sturdy Carry Bag is also a great way to store the game away when not in use as the whole Tower packs away into the bag and zips closed. The Garden Games Mega Hi-Tower consists of 58 blocks measuring 18cm in length making this impressive game really GIANT. Designed as a lightweight unit to be carried around, this makes it a popular choice for parties and get barbecues. The next tower up in size is the Giant Tower
