Hama Bead Halloween Magnets

After coming across this fab idea the other day of melting Hama Beads in to Autumn Leaves. I knew we needed to have a try. I had a think of how I could tie a craft idea in to Halloween. So we dug the Halloween cookie cutters out, popped a bit of oil in the inside so the beads wouldn't stick, filled them up with coloured Hama Beads, I popped them in the oven on gas mark 3 for around 12 minutes.

The effect is fantastic, they don't fully melt so they have a 3D effect, because we used an oven tray the bottom was flat which gave me another idea. I had some sticky backed magnets from another activity so I thought this would be a fab idea to jazz up our fridge.

So tar- da. Here are our fab easy to make Halloween magnets.

  2. This is a fabulous idea, we have a ton of these beads upstairs. I will set my 13 year old daughter on the task of doing this with my supervision. Brilliant, Thank you.
