The Bag Fairy.

Well I've been seeing these funky tote bags with character's on for ages, there all over the celebs. Ive saw some of these type bags fetch up to a £100. While browsing eBay i came across The Bag Fairy.

The Bag Fairy started making bags about 18 months ago, just as a hobby for family and friends and has been selling on eBay since July 2011.

The hand painted personalised jute bags, embellished with diamantes and hand made hair bows. the bags are made to your specifications, eg, hair colour eye colour, colour theme plus you can choose a couple of things to make it more personal to you. Names are added on as an extra too.
She has a variety of designs to choose from and has lots of examples on her Facebook page. All bags have  the option of having hand made hair bows or having a flower attached to the handle ( if you would like both its an extra £1 , most people just have one ) All bags can have as much bling/diamantes on as you like just say when ordering. One or two things can be added to any design to make it more personal to you, eg phone, dog, cupcake & wine glass  but the basic designs are the same on each bag.

The bags come in a variety of sizes :

LARGE SQUARE £18
LARGE OBLONG £18

MEDIUM SQUARE £15
MEDIUM OBLONG £15

SMALL BAG - £10
SMALL SQUARE BAG £10

.

The bag was made in a few weeks with updates, to my chosen requirements, and a picture was uploaded before it was sent out. I was shocked with the size of the bag as i thought it would be the same size as a normal tote shopping bag. They are pretty big. The quality is amazing and i was very pleased as it was very cheap at £18 plus postage. I'm defiantly going be recommending them and I'm sure i will be ordering more too They would make great Christmas presents if you want something different or if you have a little girl in the family that loves handbags. Imagine how cool you would be with one of these.

Poor little mite

So they say it comes in three's poor Lexie is in the wars. She has an ear infection, eye infection and is teething shes so clingy at the moment she's stuck to me like glue. Ive tried a hundred different things for her teething but nothing does much. I'm hoping she starts to feel better soon, its horrible seeing your bubba in pain and not be able to do much about it.

Weigh in.....

OK not gonna lie, not done much exercise and not ate the best. I'm struggling for motivation at the minute again, you would think being a porker is enough but i just cant get into it. Stayed the same this week.So a little disappointed in myself.

So at week three its still only a 5lbs loss.

Weleda Calendula Soap

So Lexie, has got Eczema I've been given some aqueous cream to apply to the dry areas after bath time.

Ive noticed that Johnson's and Little angels had been drying her skin out, and her skin looked irritated after a bath. I have been using Simple baby and that seems OK, but i just don't get that clean smell off her.

I was sent a Weleda Calendula Soap it contains soothing extracts from bio dynamic Calendula and organic Chamomile. It develops a soft foam, which delicately cleanses the skin and helps maintain the skin's natural moisture balance. Suitable for sensitive skin of babies, children and adults. It has natural plant extract and has 100% natural ingredients. Its suitable from birth too,  So i though perfect.

The soap smells pretty strong but lovely, it has a good foam and the smell keeps on you. I could smell it still the morning after. It didn't irate Lexie's skin and seemed to leave her skin smooth.

The product isn't tested on animal either, which is something i normally look out for.

I hope this is the product for Lexie that helps her not to break her out with dry, itchy patches. I also got sent a load of samples, which all smell divine.I love the firming lotion, made all my tummy lovely and smooth. Definitely a huge thumbs up from me.

Weleda have a huge range of products, check there website out ~  weleda.co.uk

Week number Five of the Summer Hoildays.

Well its not been very summery this week its rained most the week, so we have been stuck in :(

So here is a few things I've done this week.

Lexie & Raiden made me a lovely picture canvas to hang up.

We also did Jelly play, Raiden just wanted to eat he's, but he had fun.

We went to hickory dickory's fun house which is a huge soft play area.

We have done lots of drawing and colouring.

Raiden had a teddy bears picnic then did a colouring after.

There is a pretend beach at one of our local parks, so Raiden went there and to the fair with nanny. While me and Lexie has some time together.

Raidens read Lexie some books ( well tryed too) he he.

We have had a busy weekend with a family 80th birthday party and a trip to the kids grandads for a BBQ.

Ive got Lexie some sensory toys which she has loved.

Lamaze socks and wrist rattles, water mat and a soft spongy ball.

Teething Bling bangle

Well i was pretty impressed with the necklace so when Teething bling needed some reviews on there bangle i jumped at the chance. Lexie is still teething pretty bad i can feel them just under the skin, but shes just not breaking them though.

We was sent a gorgeous Jade bangle think its my favourite on the smartmumuk site. It arrived it a lovely organza bag, so its perfect for a gift too.

Lexie took to it straight away right to her mouth and she chewed it for ages. It is so much easier to give to her and for her to grab and hold, than the necklace. Perfect for little hands its not heavy either so she is able to have a right good chomp on it.

Teething Bling® is the original teething jewellery. Made from the same material as most teething toys, there teething pendants and teething bangles look great on the adult wearer but are also safe for curious babies to handle and chew. There teething products are non-toxic, phthalate, BPA, PVC, latex and lead free and all pendants come with a breakaway clasp as an added safety measure. They carry the very important CE trademark which means we meet strict safety standards. Teething Bling went through four years of rigorous safety testing.

Ive also attached it to some links and added it on to her pushchair so she can grab and use it on the go and it not get lost. I think its a fantastic teether, plain and simple but effective. Fingers crossed it helps her break the tooth though.

Please check out the huge range on the  Teething bling   site.

The Original Sophie the Giraffe Teether Toy & competition

Well with Little miss red teething I'm willing to give anything a shot! So i called on Sophie the giraffe.

Sophie the Giraffe is made out of natural rubber ( phtalate free),  who has been part of babies’ lives for almost 50 years. she is slender, flexible, and soft, so baby can squeeze and chew her in complete safety.

Its suitable from birth and has received a number of awards,  Its easy for babies to hold and chew. Lexie likes chewing on Sophie's Ears. It does have a very strong rubber smell, but as its natural you would expect that. Lexie isn't to keen on the squeaker bit but it doesn't help with you have a bigger brother squeaking it behind you.

SIGHT : At the age of 3 months, a baby's eyesight is still limited and he can only make our high contrasts. The dark and contrasting attention-catching spots all over Sophie the Giraffes body provide visual stimulation and she soon becomes a familiar and reassuring object for baby.

HEARING: Her squeaker keeps baby amused, stimulates his hearing and then later, helps him to understand the link between cause and effect.
TASTE: Sophie the Giraffe is made of 100% natural rubber and food paint, and is completely safe to chew, just like a feeding bottle teat. Her soft texture and numerous chewable parts (ears, horns, legs) make her perfect for soothing baby's sore gums when teething.

SMELL: The singular scent of natural rubber (from the Hevea tree) makes Sophie the Giraffe very special and easy for your child to identify amid all his other toys.

EASY TO GRIP: Sophie the Giraffe's shape and 18cm size are perfect for baby's small hands. She is very light and her long legs and neck are easy for baby to grip, even from his earliest days.

TOUCH: Touch is the first means baby has of communicating with the outside world. Sophie the Giraffe's soft feel is just like mummy's skin, stimulating soothing physiological and emotional responses that soothe baby.

So for your chance to win your own goody bag with your own Sophie, a Sophie rattle and a vanilla teether...........

1.Please follow my blog ( right hand side)

Well its week four and i thought i would never say this but it’s going soooooo fast!!! So with all of Raidens school uniform ( apart from shoes brought)  & Sewn name labels in, he really missing school and cant wait to go back.

Mr Sunshine hasn’t had he's hat on so again we have been limited to what we can do.

So this week we have made a treasure box, to keep special things in.

Plaster of Paris a figure of a dinosaur which we painted.

We went to two different wacky warehouses.

Made Jelly and cookies AGAIN!! lol

The park, where there was a zip wire. Raiden and daddy went on a boat ride & the train, while i walked Lexie around the park.

Bubble machine _ Think Lexie was a little scared at first

Lots of colouring too, big pages of toy story & scooby doo!

Here is a few of Lexie Boo too

So week two weigh in.

Well following on from last week & my 4lbs loss. I got on the Wii fit 5/7 times this week, which still isn't too bad. Ive tried to cut down on what I'm eating too. I feel I'm gonna be a bit better when Raiden's back at school. With me not being able to sleep at the moment I'm trying to cut my tea & coffee down to 3/4 cups a day!

This week I've only lost 1lb I'm really disappointed to be honest but it means i have to work harder this week.

Total loss - 5lbs.

Cars Two Competition - Runner up!

MadeForMums on facebook was looking for the Cars biggest fan. You had to send a photo to there wall with your child and there Cars collection. They was so delighted with the response they gave away a second runner up prize. Raiden didn't come first but he was the runner up, Cars 2 Lego.
Raiden's has really started to get into Lego while he's been off school so we decided to wrap it up for Christmas so he can have an extra pressie. He's been a huge fan of cars since he was about 11 months old. I was amazed when the Lego came as it was one of the huge sets worth about £50. He is gonna be mega excited when he sees it.

He is Raiden with he's huge collection & the winning Photo! He decided to draw a picture of Lighting Mcqueen too. Clever Boy.

Breast flow bottles & Day & night warmer.

I love trying out different bottles,  I'm amazed with how much they have changed over the years.
The 5 oz Breastflow bottle is ideal for newborns and young infants and includes a Stage 1, slow flow teat. Breastflow is the only feeding system that requires both suction and compression, just like breast feeding. The teat is designed to mimic the breast so baby can latch on and to encourage the same mouth and tongue position as breast feeding. The double teat system requires both suction and compression, just like breast feeding and baby controls the flow of milk. It's the bottle most like breastfeeding. Bisphenol A Free Bottle.

Breastflow is the only feeding system that requires both suction and compression, just like breastfeeding. The nipple is designed to mimic the breast so baby can latch on and to encourage the same mouth and tongue position as breast feeding. The double nipple system requires both suction and compression, just like breast feeding and baby controls the flow of milk. Similar Feeding Technique The teat encourages the same tongue position as breastfeeding. Control of Milk Flow Inner teat is designed to act like mums milk ducts allowing baby to control an even milk flow. Softer Outer Outer teat is designed to draw baby closer to the softer surface to be more comfortable for baby. Easy to Clean The extra wide neck allows easier access for cleaning. Helps Prevent Wind Colic Safely compresses, allowing less air thus reducing wind and colic. Features BPA Free Helps Prevent Wind Colic Easy to Clean Mimics the motions of breastfeeding Ideal for nursing mums who are returning to work Suitable from Birth.

I generally liked the whole shape of the bottle and teat and love how its a 5oz bottle and not the standard 4oz bottle. Sadly after many attempts Lexie just wouldn't take from the bottle she got quite frustrated with how the teat collapsed on her, she can be a guzzle guts so i decided to try her with the stage 2 teats instead to see if it made a difference. I think if she was a bit younger she would of taken to them but i think she has got used to her own bottles now. I love the concept of the whole breastfeeding bottle its a fantastic idea if you are going from breast to bottle.

The second item i had to review was the the first years day and night warmer. Ive never really bothered with bottle warmers as i ones I've had take far to long to warm up. I'm lucky as Lexie will have bottle cold or warm, so by the time i had changed her nappy the bottle was ready very impressed. I like the way it had a little light with helped me with Lexie and not waking Raiden up at the same time. Its great that i didn't have to go all the way to the kitchen either to sort a bottle out it was there and ready! The First Years popular nursery bottle warmer works with most bottle systems, wide, narrow, angled, even disposables. It can also be used to warm baby food jars with will be very convenient when Lexie starts to be weaned.

For the range of Breastflow items and day and night warmer please go the there
website  Breastflow Uk .

Also if you keep an eye out from the 22-28 august, they are giving away 5000 free bottles via there website, so pop that one in your diary. It will be promoted on Askamum.com.

Oh sleep where art you

Well at the moment I'm feeling like a zombie, for the past week Lexie has been waking up anything from two times in the night, which is killing me as she was sleeping though.
On Tuesday she was up every hour. Initially i thought she may be hungry, she seems to be but then she will drink a few Oz then fall back to sleep, its more of a close comfort thing as she has a habit of falling asleep on you then when you move her she wakes up. I'm not sure if its a growth spurt or teething, but I'm feeling rather sorry for the poor little mite.
I tryed her with a bit of apple puree then carrot puree the day after which she didn't take to at all, sometimes i will give her porridge and she will eat the lot then other times she will close her mouth tight. So its trial and error at the moment with weaning.

The Getting Fit Has Begun.

Well Lexie was Four months old on Saturday. Last Monday i stepped on the scales and nearly cried, i have put on over three stone during pregnancy. To be totally honest i was overweight before so i needed to get my butt in to gear and do something about it.

I managed to dust my Wii fit board off and do a 30 minute workout 6/7 days last week. Its not much but its a start! I was rather naughty on Tuesday and we had Domino's but I'm really gonna look at my eating and cut down gonna try and snack on fruit and look at my portion sizes.

I really want to loose around 5 stone altogether, i think they would be my target weight, its a long way ahead though i think but if i do it slowly it will stay off.

Ive taken Before photos ( YUCK YUCK YUCK) & Measured my tummy, legs arms etc. So if i don't loose the ILB's i can measure that way.

So first weigh in and ive lost 4lbs, ok not a great deal but its a start.

Wish me luck its gonna be a long Ride!!

So week Three and what have been been doing this week.

Well with the goings on in Birmingham this week, I've not wanted to go very far to be totally honest. I don't think its been very safe too either. With only living 20/25 mintues from the town centre, we have stayed far away from all the awful Riots and looting.

So we have remained Local and done lots and lots at home.

So thought the holidays i plan to take the kids to as many parks as i can, we have totalled two at the moment.

We went locally to Tumble Jungle which Raiden had lots of fun

We watched a few DVDs with popcorn, I think Lexie wanted too he he.

We have entered a few competitions via facebook to win some goodies.

1. The Happy Egg Co colouring competition
2. Me To You Drawing competition.

We have also baked White chocolate chip cookies.

Had lots of fun with Play dough too.

We made some more biscuits heart shaped ones this time

We went to grandads and has a roast & we re-planned he's ferns. We found some worns too .

Lexie turned Four months on sat, time has flown!
